Silent Passion: Fanfiction Awards

The purpose of this award program is to bring you the best Trowa and/or Heero centric fanfiction out there, by honoring those authors in the fandom who have dared to step away from misconceptions and fanon. These awards are for those who have dared to write on new and unique ideas, and to portray the characters of Heero Yuy and Trowa Barton in a new light. They present a human side to these two anime characters, portraying them as they are, as they could be...

There are three types of awards. Please, familiarize yourself with the guidelines. If you know of a lovely fic that deserves any of these awards, let me know.

The Silencer Award

For excellence in Trowa characterization.
Trowa is without any doubt, the most mysterious and controversial character in Gundam Wing. Many are captivated by his physical attributes, his sea-deep green eyes and unusual hairstyle. From the series we know that he is cool and quiet, with nerves of steel and superior reflexes; but who exactly is The Silencer? There is more to his personality than just being a rape victim(?) or an unemotional, empty shell.

Few are the writers who can take us into the realm of silence.

Suicidal Mission Award Suicidal Award

For excellence in Heero characterization.

There is much more to "Suicide Boy" than being a mechanical bastard. In the series and Endless Waltz, we discover a Heero Yuy who is capable of emotion. Writing a convincing Heero Yuy, and getting inside his head, is indeed a suicidal mission; a mission in which the writer must open his heart and mind in order to understand that Heero Yuy is a soldier, but that he is also a boy. This suicidal mission is one which many writers are not ready to take... a mission which many writers are not able to accomplish.

Rhythm Emotion Awards Just Love: 1x3/3x1 Award

The best of 1x3/3x1 fiction!
While Silent Passion loves just about any Trowa-centric and Heero-centric fics, our favorite ones are, of course, those fics in which the two boys are portrayed as a couple. The It's Just Love... award is precisely for all those gorgeous 1x3/3x1 fics out there. This award will be given out to authors who manage to portray a convincing romantic relationship between the two stoic pilots, and still keep them both in character. From sweet shonen-ai to wild yaoi, these are the type of fics that just take our breath away...

Take Off to the Sky is basically a subcategory aimed to target all those 1x3/3x1 fics labeled as "PWP's". We are a yaoi site, and after all, what would yaoi be without those wonderful, sexy, HOT fics? Shonen-ai and character oriented fics are wonderful, but we also need some spice! Yes. We admit it, we like smut. But we like good smut! This is the award for those Heero/Trowa fics that just make our knees weak.
